Let me contribute my one experience which I hope will unleash reaction. For reasons , that may be issued in the context for a long book, I experienced unusual weekend skiing. On Friday, after several meetings in Prague, I went the route Ruzyně ,Muni ch, Chicago to Vancouver. Followed by overnight at the airport, early morning transport, along with half of Canada to Whistler, arranging ground travel, ski hire, ticket purchases and up to dream ed drenched hills of azure.

The first floor slopes (about 400 vertical meters) was snow groomed and the snow outside the slopes was not enough. According to the protection of mattresses on the pillars and wait about two meters more. So I went up to Whistler Peak, while pacifier with his mouth open to the beauty around. Endless and endless mountains. All available hopelessly rutted dust. Moses said I aim to ride the entire resort, especially after so slopes with as much as possible offsets to the well started pow. Actually I managed to cross the "resort and make a general idea.

So my ideas and impressions:

The early season, saturday, a car park full of half, above the sun to lift the front and 20 minutes on the crowded slopes and off like Christmas in Spindleruv Mlyn, permice day in 1900, - CZK (in season 2050 -). It snowed last Thursday evening - 20 cm - what I've seen from cable car - totally damaged. Most extensive resort in North America - middle-sized Alpine resort - but the vertical rise -  1600 m. Variability of the terrain - just what I have seen incredible

The bottom line, and judging from day one - overpriced freeride paradise, that's not so large , but where snows and snows, and where the powder man must grapple.

Just three comments, the last two for freeriders irrelevant: publicly offered accommodation expensive as hell, mostly quick lift chair that you remember enough (at a price of skipasses I expected more comfort), in line with a lot of people with cups of coffee from Starbucks and food from KFC, etc ... Mars atmosphere

PS. On Monday, I again worked in Prague.
