Many of us know that this season we have lack of snow, and this thing hit Jasna resort also. The race was complicated by lack of snow, icy surface and as always with bad weather. For this reason the first two days were postponed. Saturday was the last day, when the race could start. It was quite lack that the sky was clear above the 1400m.However, conditions were almost unchanged. The racing surface was icy, and in some places there was about 10cm of fresh snow. This was the reason for the cancellation of qualifying runs and that is why judges decided to announce the winners from one run on Saturday.

For the safety of the race organizer Matt Hulej gave to all riders a pre-run. This step was given in order to minimalize the risk of injury, despite the fact that these procedure is not in FWT rules.

The race started in this order. Women ski, snowboard women, men ski, snowboard men.  According to my info there were about 170 riders on the starting list, but the snow conditions signed on the actual number of riders.

What I don´t wanna forget to mention is that Jasna has another dimension of competition. Such as party on Kamenka hut and the newly built barn HapyEnd near the station of Biela Put ... So no matter what the weather is, Jasna has clearly its charm. We look forward to next year in Jasna Adrenalin 2012!
