Detail of place

My trip to Davos was conducted according PowderLine gang-established tracks. We took the car from Zdena Dětský and picked up David Egedy from the station  in Olomouc with 3 hours delay. His fourth call from a phone booth had a tinge of nervousness. So were complete crew,  my brother David, Egy, Wiki are leaving the direction to Davos. After a smooth journey we arrived to Davos, and we tried to deal with accommondation, we managed to find a luxury heated cellar. The following day, proves the quality of local snow conditions, which correspond to the 2000 m.nm rain and temperature around 10 degrees. For quality riding and a few evening beers again we are dealing with apartement, which appeared to be a problem. Egy therefore gives a terrible cellar, before I slept out there and  Wiktor and David in the car.

The following day came the rest of our crew and you might say to me, quite disastrous. My trip to Davos was from that date very different from another. Now I will write about the situation that I would not want anyone to experience, and an avalanche of my own skin.

At the end of the day we choose to have a look at a place called Gotchna. Where last winter fell a giant avalanche. After seeing the slope was made the fateful decision to drive around the northwest slope - on the opposite side of the mountain. Upper passage already hinting about the problems when Tomas Zelinka snapped quite dangerous avalanche. How crazy we arrived in the forest where the situation was even worse (in such conditions when the temperature is high, it is necessary to keep yourself on the larger spaces, because trees are keeping heat). We saw the section which I believe that will be a problem to pass over, selecting a tree to which I would like to arrive and stop in front of him. I did so but suddenly i felt to a hole which were created under the snow a I cut the avalanche. Egy and Zelda were looking at me from about seven meters away. Trying to catch the surrounding trees but I failed. Sliding head down the direction of avalanche in the concreted stretch of wet snow with no trees. Section is quite steep and the avalanche is getting speed and I see around me a giant snow blocks, and in this moment, I knew I am fucked up. The avalanche is going through the forest and is braking trees and my bones. Comes countless blows to the head from the body by hanging it so as to knok out of the back of the shoulder. Come out of the woods into the valley where the avalanche starts hinder fight with shock and trying to keep the surface of which I fortunately succeeded. The first time my thought was that I am alive then I find your state and the guys who have been with me for two minutes, immediately called the heli.

Rescue operation:

Heli was in place in about 10 minutes and another 10 minutes was locating us. The rescurer came to me, checked the spine, gave me a bit of morphine and loaded me into the net. Which for me then was a walk through hell. I lifted the network to which a rope in my last break bones that remain. I can not breathe, and the pilot's too short on my feeling that I give BC a flip-top centrifuge pushes me more into the net. One more way we lead and finally landing me on the floor and run to move the inflatable chairs are finally shaped according to my proportions. Under discussio about serious injury we're going to hospital in Chur.

  Hospital:

After the arrival, I am no longer able to have my eyes open, I see everything, but just opening the eyes on request, I looked at someone. Followed by a CT scan, etc ... .. and after about 1 hour to go in the hospital operating room. Diagnosis: 10 broken ribs, shoulder blade cluster fracture, open fracture of the clavicle, pneumothorax, ruptured liver is the second degree (with that fortunately did not have to do anything, just connect the hose to drain the blood).

After a successful operation after 3 days I'm going from an intensive care to a normal room. Morphine introduced into the floor is getting my daily friend. Hospital as a 4 star hotel, private nurse, private phone, TV, view of the BM lajn directly from windows, crazy menu. Disconnect from the morphine for me done quite drastically, about 2 hours abstinennční symptoms.

After eight days finally come home transportation appointed. Despite Alpenferain I arranged for transportation to the database. I was a bit worried because I have not been able to sit but it was done in the style 4 * hotel. Small jet flew from the Innsbruck airport on nearby Chur. Followed by a rapid flight to the airport Mošnov to Ostrava and then transported to hospital by ambulance with the full horn. Intake to give my last morfium.V hospital for another 8 days and finally home.

Current situation:

Injuries are healing relatively quickly through the interrupted nerves in the arm that control the right hand. Currently I have limited mobility hand, but the prognosis is good too and rehabilitation is well advanced.

These phrases would like to show another side to this sport, which sometimes turns against us and the consequences do not end up like this, but even worse.

I would like to thank you to everybody for help and support
