Fidels and my winter were exactly about this, more traveling and exploring new location where we expect some pow. Our plan was clear, ride the first lines in deep pow, hiking and do some JONES snowboard testing. We started our testing path on Robins Kaleta freeride camp in Luzum valley near to Hintertux and then we continued to Backcountry camp to Andermat.  There is an plan to have final stage on Splitboard fest.

How it started? As usually with rush department and delay already in Prague, but in finally we manage catch taxi to Lizumer hut.  Josef and his van Iveco took us form the word of ordinary peoples and environment to the new powder world, ride was long 12 kilometers. Lizum valley did not disappoint, either in week winters there was still nice snow and that’s why after supper all members started to mount their gear for next day.  Following two weeks are in sense of nice powder conditions. Time to time we get even more then 50 centimeters and between blue brits. Daily first track hitting up and down was really arduous. In addition to that we held safety courses for all members during every evening. Still this is the main part of our daily deal in freeride environment. From splitboard models I would like to highlight Jones “Solution” the girl for everything, but really natural choice for all riders who do not need to have more than one board for various snow conditions. In our portfolio was Jones “Explorer” and machine “Hovercraft”.        

We hike quite many vertical kilometers and if I wouldn’t have feeling that I smell to myself so much, we would be there still.  Plan was clear and need to move to our other location in Switzerland.  Backcountry camp clients were our next lucky crew that were treated by Fidas and his Jones splitboards gear.  On first look it does not looks that winter is in Andermat, it was more like spring time, but this was first view.

After we manage to hike few meter on skins, after two hours were back in the powder kingdom fulfill of light crystals flakes that shine on us. On the other hand it was really nice to get back on hut because of really warm weather and hot terrace where we rest for a while dinking beers.  In general the BCCamp clients push the riding in responsive manner. When Fildel and Zemic motivate crew to hike nearby trident, nobody did stand behind. Girls push their limit as well and that’s why we named one couloir ”Dívčí“. Rewards was no, really nice powder rides for everybody with no regrets.         

When I recall how much fun we had during these days I cannot imagine how many fun and powder days are still ahead of us on HonkyTonk Spliboard Fest.
